Job Description:
Your Role as a Solutions Architect: -
As a Solutions Architect, you will partner with multiple teams
within the organization in a pre and post-sales technical role to
foster product adoption, help customers optimally utilize the
platform, and to scope and help deliver custom solutions. - You
will often showcase Appspace product solutions, explaining features
and benefits to customers and partners. Additionally, you will
partner with our Customer Success and Service Delivery teams as a
post-sales subject matter expert to drive existing account
expansion via new feature demonstration, client use case
consultation, and, most importantly, custom project scoping and
implementation.
As a Solutions Architect, you must understand customer business
needs and use this understanding to define a solution that fits
those requirements and allows the customer to have scalability and
flexibility for future needs. This position requires excellent
communication skills on both a technical and business level with
stellar interpersonal and presentation skills. Additionally, the
ability to think technically and translate customer needs into
actionable technical items within the Appspace platform and
associated custom solutions is a must. - -
A Day in the Life of a Solutions Architect: -
- Provide technical and sales support for prospective and
existing customers, particularly with regard to custom solutions
and complex deployments.
- Take the lead on moving custom services engagements through the
scoping and sales process from a technical perspective, knowing
when to engage other team members for success and closure.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for our customers
who have engaged our Enhanced Services team for custom
work.
- Perform technical presentations for customers, partners, and
prospects
- Assist with developing formal sales plans and proposals for
assigned opportunities, with a focus on meeting customer business
requirements at the solution and architectural level.
- Ability to understand complex customer technical and business
situations and identify where Appspace solutions can provide
value.
- Act as an SME for ongoing implementations and deployments to
provide solutions that fit customer use cases, including scoping
custom engagements when required.
- Collaborate with our Enhanced Services team and Customer
Success team to ensure proposed solutions are properly scoped and,
ultimately, successful. - -
- Help drive account and partner relationship building
- Keeping up-to-date on relevant competitive solutions, products,
and services
What You'll Need: -
- Ability to build strong customer relationships leading to
trusted advisor status within customer and partner base
- Ability to work effectively across teams and collaborate with a
variety of departments.
- Knowledge and mastery of relevant solutions sets, product line
specifications, performance criteria, and applications of use and
the ability to continually learn as featuresets evolve..
- Excellent written and verbal communication, listening,
negotiation, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated history of exhibiting technical knowledge and
consultative skills
- Prior sales, sales engineering, or solution architect
experience preferred. - Custom development experience is a
plus.
- Preferred skills: working knowledge/use of Salesforce,
Scripting, Web Development (HTML, JavaScript, and AngularJS),
O365/Azure, working knowledge of containerization/Kubernetes, cloud
solutions, IPTV streaming, digital signage/video walls, space
management/room booking tools (IWMS, etc.); prior Software/SaaS
Company and Industry experience
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 5 years professional experience
(Computer Science/Information Technology and Engineering fields
preferred but not required)
