You must have completed a Child Life Fellowship/Internship to be considered for this position. Our Child Life Specialists ensure that patients and their families have an excellent patient experience by assessing, educating, preparing, and supporting patients and families throughout their healthcare journey. This role collaborates closely with other healthcare and community providers to promote growth and development and facilitate positive adjustment.At Cook Children's we believe everyone should feel like family! • Bachelor's degree in child Life, child development or closely related field.
• Completion of a child life internship/fellowship.
• Certified Child Life Specialist, by exam, preferred within one year of hire.
• American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS is required within 60 days of hire.
