success through consulting and coaching on career paths,
competencies, development planning, and providing resources and
information regarding career development at Parkland.Minimum
SpecificationsEducation
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Adult Education, Training
& Development, Business Administration, Healthcare or a related
field.Experience
- Must have three (3) years of experience in design, development,
delivery and evaluation of programs in a health care or related
setting.
- Must have two (2) years of experience in project and program
management.
- Prefer experience in career coaching or peer coachingEquivalent
Education and/or Experience
- May have an equivalent combination of education and experience
to substitute for education requirements.Skills or Special
Abilities
- Must have strong planning and organizational skills.
- Must have the ability to coach and influence others.
- Must have proven ability to lead training and program
projects.
- Must have solid presentation and facilitation skills.
- Must have excellent written communication skills.
- Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to multitask and
prioritize work assignments.
- Must have demonstrated consulting skills in working with
clients.
- Must demonstrate ability to work as a team member and develop
strong relationships with internal and external
stakeholdersResponsibilities
- Promote career navigation services, to include career interest
assessments, resume review, instruction on LinkedIn, interview prep
and career transition plan development
- Consult with employees to assist in identifying unique
learning/performance interests and gaps based on knowledge of the
development methods, healthcare careers, and the organization's
talent needs.
- Consult with employees to assist with creating Individual
Development Plans and identifying best practices and learning
strategies or resources (people, content, or activities) to assist
them.
- Analyze multiple sources of information to assist leaders,
employees, and other stakeholders in solving complex learning and
performance problems. Use utilization data to propose new learning
and development programs.
- Act as a resource for employees by connecting them with various
internal education programs and services including, but not limited
to, PLEDGE programs, Skillsoft and Parkland Pathways resources,
continuing education, tuition reimbursement and other development
programs.
- Provide coaching to employees engaged in growing their skills
and abilities, both those engaged in special programs
(apprenticeship, Education at Work, etc.) and those seeking
assistance in planning for their next steps.
- Develop and lead communications related to education projects
and programs in order to connect employees with professional
development resources and training including websites and digital
consultation solutions.
- Create and utilize evaluation and measurement tools to track
success of individuals in the programs and volume of support
provided.
- Create and utilize marketing strategies as well as relationship
building to maximize and support the retention and use of career
navigator servicesJob Accountabilities
- Identifies ways to improve work processes and improve customer
satisfaction. Makes recommendations to supervisor, implements, and
monitors results as appropriate in support of the overall goals of
the department and Parkland.
- Stays abreast of the latest developments, advancements, and
trends in the field by attending seminars/workshops, reading
professional journals, actively participating in professional
organizations, and/or maintaining certification or licensure.
Integrates knowledge gained into current work practices.
- Maintains knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies,
laws and guidelines that impact the area. Develops effective
internal controls designed to promote adherence with applicable
laws, accreditation agency requirements, and federal, state, and
private health plans. Seeks advice and guidance as needed to ensure
