low-cost air travel. The Senior Financial Planning & Analysis
(FP&A) Partner is responsible for driving the planning,
storyline development, and execution of major deliverables
including but not limited to: earnings, 8-K support, quarterly
budget updates, board of directors' materials, monthly forecast
reviews, and AOP.This role would work closely with the Corporate
FP&A Managing Director to ensure the deliverables meet Senior
Leadership's expectations.The Sr FP&A Partner is excited to

- Serve as an influential key advisor to Sr Leadership for
complex and business-critical areas by challenging ideas and
thought processes as well as providing strategic direction and
accountability on business issues with financial implications
- Develop and define frameworks for ensuring alignment with
Companywide financial goals and objectives
- Design, develop, and drive the adoption of short-term and
long-term financial risk management policies, processes, and
procedures
- Translate complex business and industry data into easy to
comprehend insights and KPIs to influence and ensure the best
decision for Southwest
- Serve as an expert to Sr Leadership by interpreting complex
financial information to influence/guide organizational
decision-making, communicate, and collaborate with key Stakeholders
to ensure they are educated on trade-offs and downstream impacts of
decisions and develops/ensure associated risk mitigation
- Drive and influence performance through a comprehensive
understanding of operational, financial, environmental, and/or
industry business drivers and variables
- Build and deliver compelling Executive level presentations,
including Board of Directors and Earnings-related materials
- Support and influence businesses in executing their strategic,
operational objectives and undertaking ad hoc analyses and special
projects
- May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's

- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in
strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling,
leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of
people and resources
- Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus,
statistics, and their applications

by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and
benefits
- Skilled in understanding and utilizing financial principles and
practices and the analysis and reporting of complex financial
data
- Skilled in collecting, organizing, visualizing and assimilating

data-oriented programming languages and visualization software
- Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths
and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches
to problems
- Skilled in understanding and applying information to contribute
to the organization's strategic plan
- Skilled in understanding the implications of new information
for both current and future problem-solving and
decision-making
- Skilled and effective communicator that is engaged,
considerate, listens to, guides, and influences their audience,

- Required: High School Diploma or GEDExperience
- Expert level experience, expansive and far-reaching knowledge
in:
- Building strong and trusting relationships with business
Customers
- Both written and verbal communication and executive level story

- Problem solving, finding own solutions, and implementing
- Modeling/forecasting development and improvement
- Preferred: Advanced Excel experience
- Preferred: Knowledge of P&LLicensing/Certification

- Ability to perform work duties from limited space work
station/desk/office area for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English
language to meet the demands of the job
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools

- Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the
United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as

- Competitive market salary from $128,350 per year to $142,600
per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible
Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus
opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the
