This function is accountable for bringing attention to senior level leadership as appropriate, current and emerging regulatory issues that may affect the business operations, performance, or public image of the company around safety and health practices.Job DescriptionKey Accountabilities:*Responsible for ensuring Vistra complies with all local, state, and federal laws, rules and standards relating to safety and occupational health areas.*Periodically meet with OSHA leaders to posture Luminant as a good faith employer and industry leader in safe practices.*Benchmark other industry segment companies to determine citation activity and impact of pending legislation.*Recommends strategies related to citation contests and coordinates the use of outside counsel with corporate legal.*Drive a sense of urgency to achieve timely implementation of compliance strategies that support each business segment.*Facilitate a culture where being critical of our current regulatory practices is viewed as a way of doing business.Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements:*Minimum 15 years of progressively responsible experience in a generalist safety role along with occupational safety, business, process engineering or relevant senior level experience/accountability in a similar role. *Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to above skills*Broad based knowledge of OSHA regulatory standards and developed strong alliance with key agency leaders.*Solid computer skills required *High School diploma or equivalentKey Metrics:*Successful implementation of OSHA regulatory programs/ processes *Key regulatory activities that drive performance improvement *Senior Regulatory Team Leader level of engagement in supporting the tactical/strategic level of compliance initiatives Job FamilySafetyCompanyVistra Nuclear Operations CompanyLocationsGlen Rose, TexasTexasWe are a company of people committed to: Exceeding Customer Expectations, Great People, Teamwork, Competitive Spirit and Effective Communication.
