Job Description:
Leverages an understanding of various telecommunication
deployments, wireless protocol suites, and advance knowledge of different troubleshooting tools. Researches and troubleshoots issues and
guides customers with appropriate suggestions based on troubleshooting.
Performs hands-on and consultative support to customers and performs
maintenance for highly-complex deployments, including ISNG appliances, vStream
and vScout ISNG probes, 2U/3U/14U probes, as well as G10 and Geoblade
probes. Performs system administration, troubleshooting, analysis,
testing, research, training, problem solving, technical support, testing,
and deployment for new applications, hardware, and systems.
Integration, testing, administration and troubleshooting of
telecommunications probing hardware and software systems. Performs advanced VoLTE and LTE
call processing troubleshooting with a focus on SIP, RTP/RTCP, GTP,
Diameter protocols and interfaces, including Gm, S1, Cx, ISC, Sv, Gx,
S6a, S6b, S5/8, S11, and S10. Analyzes LTE and VoLTE signaling, voice,
data, and application KPIs (accessibility, retainability, and performance)
and ensures their accuracy, consistency, and reliability. Advises
customers on network management “best practices.†Works proactively using
System Health tools to ensure customers’ systems function properly. Develops
and updates procedures for system installation, integration, test, and
administration. Executes extensive and complex E2E VoLTE calls investigation of
issues impacting operator network KPIs. Conducts system acceptance
testing with customers. Verifies installation documentation and configuration
and analyzes cycle time for installation and upgrade standard work,
including configuration management. Coordinates changes to configurations
and upgrades. Provides documented in-depth technical solutions and
training for customer and other engineers. Provides after-hours support
as necessary up to 20% of his time and depending on the criticality
of the customer issue. Education & Experience Requirements: Master's degree in Computer
Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or related field
(willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus 1 year of experience
performing network integration, testing, administration, and
troubleshooting. Or, alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in in Computer Science,
Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or related field (willing to
accept foreign education equivalent) plus 3 years of experience
performing network integration, testing, administration, and troubleshooting. Must also possess each of the following skills: 1) Demonstrated
expertise (DE) leveraging telecommunications/mobility protocols (2G, SS7,
IMS, VoIP, eHRPD, CDMA, SS7, GSM, GPRS, UMTS, LTE, and VoLTE/4G) during
deployment of performance monitoring tool product suites and to troubleshoot
network issues arising in customer networks; 2) DE leveraging Shell
Scripting, SQL, automation using Python, Perl, Bash, and Expect to automate and
speed up the deployment of telecommunication solutions; 3) DE deploying
and troubleshooting hardware and software associated with probes in
Linux and UNIX operating systems; and, 4) DE leveraging 3GPP and IETF
protocols, including SIP, RTP GTP, Diameter, S1AP, and LTE NAS to help
