Job Description:

Objective The Service Technician provides technical support and customer service in the areas of maintenance, installation, and repairs to hospital staff, field staff, distributors and our dealer network. This position assists with project management for both internal and external service related projects. Essential Responsibilities --- Act as technical support contact on all issues concerning diagnostics, repair, and installation of ceiling lifts and floor lifts --- Participate in handling and maintain the eRMA work as it pertains to warranty and repair claims --- Interface with our customers and end users based on communication with them, in terms of warranty claims --- Repairs customer products, both internal and external --- Take service related phone calls from facilities --- Help with the preparation of upcoming trade shows --- Enter claims into the internal Guldmann claims system --- Participates in the planning and prioritizing of initiated projects in accordance with the deadlines adopted --- Assist with tracking expenses for service related projects Additional Responsibilities --- Assist in the warehouse as needed or when all primary functions are completed. --- All other duties as assigned Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities --- Experience with electrical repair or similar --- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written form. --- Must be a team player and have good interpersonal skills. --- Must have a valid Passport or be eligible to apply for passport. --- Must have driver's license in good standing. --- Must have a good working knowledge of how to use power and hand tools. --- Must be able to climb ladders --- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues over the phone --- Good organization skills --- Good recordkeeping skills Physical & Mental Requirements Must have the physical and mental strength and endurance to be able to perform duties, in at times extreme environments, as well as the ability to handle stressors of the position in operational and administrative situations. Required to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds. Expected to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, talk, hear, taste, smell, see, and operate objects, tools, and controls.
