Job Description:

Purpose and Job SummaryThe Business Analyst's objective is to implement appropriate technology solutions for our internal business partners. Primarily, the analyst will be responsible for report writing, which will involve writing/updating stored procedures for new and existing reports. The analyst will also develop and communicate business requirements to our technology teams, seek out operational improvements, and be responsible for training and evangelizing technology solutions. A desire to work in a collaborative environment and a proven track record of delivering solutions, combined with leadership in resolving issues is essential.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesManage new and existing reports using MS SQL to produce queries and stored procedures and deliver outputs in Excel, Word, and PDF.Analyze and develop requirements and specifications that address business functions and workflowDevelop and/or enhance business applications by working with our business partners.Take ownership and respond immediately to our business partners when they report issues (enhancements, bugs, etc.) with our systems.Internal system administration, customization and implementation.Participate in and implement training procedures and integration for internal applicationsUse creative skills to identify and recommend application improvement solutions for business.Provide basic project management responsibilities to ensure risks are mitigated, scope is managed, appropriate communication is achieved and milestones are metEnsure all production changes are made in accordance with lifecycle methodology and change management policiesWork professionally and harmoniously with team and coworkersBecome a subject matter expert in Lument's core functionsOther projects and duties as assignedEducation, Skills & ExperienceBS in Information Systems, Real Estate, Finance, or equivalent experienceExperience in the commercial mortgage loan industry, government-sponsored enterprise (GSE) and/or HUD/FHA experience a plusTechnical ExperienceExceptionally proficient with Microsoft SQL as well as database table structure and designExperience writing and designing reportsProven background with MS Excel (Calculations, Macros, etc)Understanding of technical language to effectively diagnose and/or partner with the development group for best practices on complex solutionsWireframing/prototyping tools like Axure or Mockflow a plusJira/Confluence and/or Azure Dev Ops for issue tracking a plusProject Management Experience3+ years project management experience involving the analysis, design, testing, and implementation of multiple medium and large-scale projectsExperience leading or assisting business transformation or consolidation projectsExperience with Agile, including Scrum and Kanban methodologies, a plusStrong documentation skillset, including detailed prototyping and wireframing, preparing detailed test cases, and test loggingCustomer Service and Quality focused with proven process improvement skillsExperience developing training curriculum and materialExperience in identifying opportunities for business improvement and defining/measuring the success of those initiativesManage stakeholder relationships and expectations by providing timely updates to all project stakeholdersProvide risk assessment throughout the project and establish mitigation plans, when necessaryEnsure all production changes are made in accordance with lifecycle methodology and change management policiesSoft SkillsExemplary communication skills, both verbally and in writing (spelling, grammar, and punctuation) including a strong aptitude for accuracy and detailStrong organizational skills, with the ability to learn quickly, work independently, prioritize work effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment balancing varied workloadsThis position has frequent contact with all levels of employees and management, and will be expected to professionally communicate internally, and potentially externally, with individuals at various levels of an organizationInitiative and strong sense of personal motivation as well as responsibility
