The Business Analyst is a multi-discipline position cross-trained to perform a variety of technical and operational support services within the business. The role requires a deep understanding of standard operating procedures and policies to apply them to systems and processes. There is a strong focus on driving behaviors and metrics to meet operational and profitability objectives through data-driven analysis and technical solutions that adhere to audit, legal and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has experience in providing meaningful, thoughtful, and actionable data and analysis in response to business needs at all levels and areas of mortgage servicing including customer experience, service level agreements, capacity planning, operational efficiencies, and profitability.Ability to partner with leaders across Customer Operations and Home Lending Servicing to evaluate changes across our organization and processes. Needs to be efficient in telling the story regarding the successes and opportunities through analytics; identification of readiness opportunities and/or additional process enhancements. Candidates for this role should be highly motivated, self-starters with strong analytical and technical skills.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner across departments to understand initiatives, capabilities and desired outcomes. Drive performance improvement through strong business case development and post-implementation analysis Analyze productivity improvements and reductions of non-value adding expense Promote more effective use of existing tools and processes (and eliminate those that are not used or are ineffectual) Identify and support the development of new capabilities (e.g. digital execution) Communicate how we are significantly improving the customer and employee experience based on the initiatives being delivered Work with teammates and stakeholders to gather, model and analyze data to test hypotheses and size opportunities of major change and process improvement projects within Home Lending Customer Operations Create presentations to summarize initiatives, proposed business case and business outcomes; share with business process owners and senior leadership team Develop recommendations, based on analysis of implemented capabilities and outcomes being realized, for change readiness or additional technical and process enhancements. Expected to assist others in analysis or project effort execution as needed, handle complex systemic analysis, and have proven abilities to present findings in understandable and actionable manners. Successfully navigate (or seeks to understand) operational functions and other supporting organizations Required Skills:Analytic skills - gather data, structure and execute quantitative and qualitative analyses, financial modeling, perform competitor/industry research, conduct interviews, synthesize findings, and develop actionable recommendations Communication and influencing skills - Candidate must possess excellent written and oral communications skills to share results and influence next steps through preparing decks and presenting to Executive Partners Teamwork skills - Candidate must be flexible in his/her work style and be able to partner with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels Tools - Candidate must have excellent skills with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and other Microsoft Office applications. In addition, the candidate must be able to pull data and produce summary views to show the results of implemented changes and corresponding analysis. Knowledge of Alteryx and Tableau are a plus Recent Coding Experience; Familiar with software packages / platforms (SQL, SAS, UNIX, Teradata, Oracle, ICDW) Personal traits - Candidate must be a results-focused, highly motivated, self-starter QualificationsBachelor's Degree and / or equal proven work experience in a quantitative discipline Minimum of 3 years Financial Services background required; preferably Home Lending Servicing Advanced level experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Expert level experience preferred Knowledge of MSP, MBWS, call center technology Proven organizational and project manager abilities. Able to take prompt and proactive action to accomplish objectives and achieve goals beyond what is expected Analytical, interpretive and problem-solving skills, which require interpreting large amounts of data and its impact to operations and production Experience in data analytics, process improvement or reengineering efforts within an operations environment Able to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize competing deliverables due to changing timelines Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
