Job Description:

The Business Systems Analyst III is responsible for supporting and maintaining the reporting applications within the applicable software package. The incumbent provides information to management that enables accurate and informed decisions. May liaison between the IT department and the systems user communities.Primary Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots systems by identifying issues. May configure systems as required by business requirements.
• Manages system efficiencies to reduce processing time and cost.
• Designs, develops, and maintains daily and monthly interfaces from internal or external applications on various platforms.
• Designs, develops, and maintains scripts for exporting data from systems for analysis and reporting.
• Assists in the setup and testing of any acquisitions data to MoneyGram systems.
• May develop training documentation and train users on the applications.
• Reviews, writes, and updates system documentation to ensure documentation is accurate and current.
• Ensures process lists are current and reflective of system process changes.
• Participates in regular testing of documented, in scope controls by internal or external testers.
• Recommends remediation action to management for any outstanding deficiencies.
• Reports and logs deficiencies to management.
• Prepares minor configuration changes and updates to security profiles for the reporting system.
• May perform audits of application security.
• Monitors and enforces the integrity of established security rules and procedures.
• Provides ad-hoc reports from systems based on requests by management and/or system users.
• Modifies program changes to existing reports to meet revised reporting requirements.
• Reviews reports for accuracy prior to distribution of financial information and ensures data accuracy.
• May update procedures related to archiving data as software and hardware changes occur.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
  Qualifications
  Any combination of relevant education and experience and/or related professional designations/certifications in this field is highly desirable.Education
  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or similar analytical related fields or equivalent work experience preferredExperience
    • 5+ years of experience in a business process or analytics role.
    • General Accounting or reconciliation experience, preferred.Essential Skills
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.
      • Knowledge of reporting software administration.
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high degrees of attention to detail, accuracy and poise under pressure.
      • Ability to prioritize work to ensure systems are up and running at all times.
      • Ability to create effective documentation and presentations for business and process decisions.
      • Requires quantitative and qualitative analysis and reasoning abilities.
      • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and turn data into meaningful conclusions.
      • Ability to assimilate highly technical information from multiple sources and translate it into real time decisions related to operational systems and business processes.
      • Effective oral and written communication skills.
      • Ability to work independently.
      • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
      • Detail-oriented, while maintaining accuracy and quality of work.Preferred Experience:
        • Experience with Trintech ReconNET reconciliation tool, E*Business Suite, or ORMB, or Oracle Financial Cloud experience preferred.
        • Work with Business (Accounting/Treasury/Settlement) teams in reconciliation.
        • Worked in a Multi-Currency Global environment (as we deal with many currencies and over 300+ bank files)
