Job Description:

in the physical world.The Quality Engineer will identify
shortfalls, develop corrective measures and implement quality
control systems to ensure we meet established quality standards.
The Quality Engineer will also establish metrics to monitor
effectiveness of processes and adjust as necessary. The successful
candidate will be responsible for maintaining a strong
collaborative partnership with cross-functional team members.What
You'll Do as a Quality Engineer:Complete quality-related functions
in a timely and accurate manner. These functions include (but are
not limited to) customer and supplier tasks, job approvals, audits,
prototype orders, planning and implementing process controls,
developing and implementing gauge plans and calibration, assessing
process capability, and planning and implementing inspection
plansCoordinate closely with Account Managers, QC personnel, and
Production Supervisors to ensure customer satisfaction and the
rapid resolution of customer concernsReceive, consolidate, and
facilitate cross-functional teams to resolve customers' quality
concerns or issues; provide subject matter expertise regarding
processes and containment, mitigation strategies, internal and
external communications, verification actions, and
recordingMonitor, review, and synchronize quality, rework,
down-time, and financial data; provide reports and briefings based
on testing and research to senior management along with mitigation
strategies Participate in the MRB process and the Corrective Action
Plan process to formalize, capture, and disseminate quality issues
and corrective actions; follow-up to ensure processes are
implemented and quality standards are enforcedEngage in the
internal job planning process to ensure scheduling, supply chain,
pre-production, production, transportation, and shipping processes
are coordinated for the most effective and efficient processing of
goodsAssess and improve current planning, pre-production,
production, and post-production processes to achieve lean
standards, reduce waste, and improve profitConduct reliability
testing and ensure timely and accurate customer test reports and
documentationManage incoming vendor materials for compliance with
quality, sustainability, and safety certification processes.
Support supplier management objectives by clearly communicating and
enforcing supplier quality requirementsConduct
product/process/supplier/quality system audits and employ formal
problem-solving techniques to ensure effective corrective actions
are memorialized, implemented, assessed, and modified as needed.
Meet with the production team to share results, provide
recommendations, and receive inputPrepare, facilitate, and assess
control and inspection plans for new projects; assist the documents
custodian in updating and recording new or legacy processes and
procedures as needed and annually; assist as the point of contact
for all internal notifications and training required from any
changes or modificationsCollaborate effectively with key business
partners and stakeholders to achieve optimal financial
resultsCoordinate with the Lean Champion to achieve integrated
process solutions and to meet lean objectivesFacilitate a positive
work climate based on mutual respect and trust that is physically
and emotionally safeCoordinate with the Safety Team to ensure
processes and procedures meet OSHA, company, and manufacturing
requirementsCollaborate effectively with key business partners +
level to achieve optimal financial results Build, develop and
maintain effective functional and cross-functional relationships
with internal and external business partnersCollaborate with
business partners to streamline processes and procedures to ensure
Lean initiatives are metDomestic and international travel required

knowledge of manufacturing systems and processesUnderstands product
safety and reliabilityHas solid analytical skills and strong
attention to detailCan lead cross-functional teams to achieve goals
Is familiar with quality management tools, concepts, methodology,
auditing, inspecting, sampling, materials testing, data recording,
interpretation, and analysis.Practices Lean Six Sigma to include
Kaizen planning, implementation, and follow-upKnows ISO auditing

With:A bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or ManagementASQ
CQE Quality Engineer Certification, Six Sigma Green Belt
Certification (Desired)PMP certification (this one will set you
apart!)2+ years' experience in Quality Assurance in an ISO
manufacturing industry or an environment that required significant
focus on quality, process improvement, and regulatory
complianceComputer skills-Microsoft Office, database management,
business analyticsStrong written, presentation, and oral
