Job Summary: The Sr. Project Analyst will support the portfolio
operations and management of initiatives across the cross
functional project delivery team within NRG Home. This position
will coordinate across all areas of portfolio delivery to ensure
all initiatives meet PMM quality standards, assist with portfolio
management including creating dashboards, managing capital budget
requests, audits, training, etc. This position may also serve as a
BA or a PM on projects as needed. Qualified candidates will have a
solid understanding of Project Management and Agile
fundamentals/methodologies, experience in creating dashboards and
reporting for portfolio management as well a working understanding
and application of business analysis and project delivery.Essential
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage funding and tracking of upcoming and new project
requests, as well as auditing, maintaining, and reporting on data
on existingprojects
- Create management reporting for monthly portfolio and scorecard
reviews
- Build dynamic project portfolio dashboards and reports through
collection of data from multiple source systems, project managers
andcross-functional delivery teams
- Create project cost reports for budget reporting
- Work with IT PMO to develop documentation, and communication of
processes in support of these activities as needed
- Work with project delivery leadership and IT to standardize and
improve delivery practices and tools
- Provide education and coaching on processes and resources for
initiation of new projects
- Maintain an organized and accessible repository of portfolio
project documentation
- Assist in developing presentations and strategies in support of
the PMO and Portfolio team
- Lead the project quality-monitoring process to effectively
apply the NRG Project Management Methodology and enforce project
standards
- Interact with business stakeholders and subject matter experts
to understand project charters and business objectives to gather,
documentand analyze business needs and translate to requirements
for project execution
- Manage annual project benefits and tracking for all capital
projects
- Ability to serve as a BA and/or a PM on small initiatives
- Ability to effectively communicate project information both
written and verbally with all project stakeholders
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all
project stakeholders, including IT and business stakeholders
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and communicate with
on all levels of a project including senior and executive
levelmanagement
- Other duties as assignedWorking Conditions:
- Remote; flexible to navigate and adjust to a hybrid work
environment as needed
- Some overtime required as special projects ariseMinimum
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 3 years of analyst experiencePreferred
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years as an analyst with preferred experience on a
project delivery teamAdditional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated proficiency with metrics and/or data reporting and
creating dashboards
- Demonstrated proficiency with portfolio management tool
- Proven capability working with, presenting to and influencing
senior executives
- Ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of audiences
in both written and oral form
- Attention to detail
- Excellent personal computer skills within a Windows
environment, demonstrating advanced working knowledge of Microsoft
Officeapplications
- Ability to work effectively; both independently and with
teams
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to use good
judgment to make recommendations and decisions.
- Comfortably handles risk and uncertainty
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing prioritiesPhysical
