Position: Electrical HV LV System Engineer\Engineering Design Support
Location: cincinnati, OH

" Good working knowledge in HVAC Substation and on MV- LV switchgears .
" Excellent understanding of substation schematics , arrangements, layouts, earthing schemes , control and protections schemes.
" Hands on experience in Cabling philosophy, Cable sizing , cable scheduling , race way , BOQ preparation , selection of electrical components.
" Hands on experience with designing of LV Power boards, Control & protection scheme, load schedule , supply capacity assessment , storage assessment.
" Verification of drawings , datasheet, vendor drawings, interface drawings and adapt according to project specific requirements.
" Participate in the preparation and implementation of standard design guides, specifications, datasheets and checklists.
" Strong understanding of engineering standards such as IEC , NEC, NFPA, IEEE and UL standards.
" Good communication and documentation skills in English.
" Experience in construction, testing and commissioning of HVDC & HVAC substation projects.
" Experience in detailed engineering work and Plant engineering
" Experience on conducting power system studies
" Proficiency in tools like ETAP, DIGSILENT , MATLAB , PSCAD, Easypower
" Experience of assisting in preparing project proposals , project documentations and project reports
" Knowledge in ePLAN tool is value added.


Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

• 
  
• Study customer specification and support in development of Bid/Proposals.
  
• Prepare Design Calculations for Electrical Systems and Equipment
  
• Prepare technical specifications for Electrical Equipment.
  
• Develop Key Single Line and Metering & Protection Single Line Diagrams
  
• Develop Earthing and Cable principle diagram.
  
• Develop Equipment layout, Yard layout, Building Layout along with Civil and Mechanical disciplines.
  
• Develop power distribution scheme, Heating and Ventilation scheme, lighting scheme etc.
  
• Develop cable schedules, interconnection diagrams, Signal list etc.
  
  Work with Equipment vendors on review and approval of design and documentation.
