Maintenance Tech III
FLSA Status: Hourly Department: MaintenanceSUMMARY: To work
interdependently and cooperatively to meet and exceed the
expectations of the customer, the company and the department,
through established and maintained recurrent, often unconscious
patterns of positive / productive behavior that is acquired through
frequent repetition. Showing care for the customer and fellow
employees, but not compromising company or personal
standards.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBLITIES:Routinely inspect
equipmentInspect the integrity of the equipment and determine
potential equipment failures and report area of concerns and
determination for corrective action to the maintenance lead and /
or supervisorInspect and determine corrective action on equipment
issues that are an employee and / or a food safety hazard.Inspect
process and utilities equipment, to determine ways to increase
proficiency and lower cost.Perform maintenance duties:Maintain
operational ability and integrity of processing equipment.Fabricate
various items as needed for process equipment.Evaluate and
contribute to the management of the parts inventory level.Maintain,
operate and diagnose equipment associated with plant
utilities.Maintain, operate and diagnose PLC programs specific to
equipment and process applications, with a focus on increasing line
proficiency.Operate equipmentNecessary to verify proper
pre-operational maintenance tasks.Necessary to verify completion of
maintenance task.Maintain all required records and documentsDaily
Notes Recorded in One-Note.Daily Blade Removal Logs.Daily Packaging
Machine Die Box Check.Daily Refrigeration Logs.Basic Job
RequirementsIndustrial Electrical Knowledge.Electrical Diagnosis
Skills.Complete tasks as assigned by maintenance lead and / or
supervisor.Refrigeration Equipment Identification & Refrigerant
Flow Competence.Compressed Air System & Equipment
Competence.Multivac Operation Competence.Process Interlocking
System Competence.Able to complete a root cause analysis for a
maintenance issue.Good attendance is a must and must be flexible to
work overtime including weekendsHelp out in other areas as needed
to train and develop and to ensure that product will always be at
the right place to achieve maximum efficiencyMiscellaneous
ResponsibilitiesKeep work area clean and free of clutter and
debris.Follow all food safety (GMP) and safety guidelines.Attend
GMP & Safety Meetings.Take out maintenance shop trash and keep
locker area clean.Keep personal tools cleaned, maintained and
kept.Coordinate between maintenance and production to complete
tasks in a timely manner, so as not to comprise employee and
product safety.Initiate and provide competent coverage in absence
of Maintenance Lead.OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Knowledge of ammonia
refrigeration systems.Knowledge of Electrical, Plumbing and
Mechanical Systems.Ability to use and operate hand tools, power
tools and electrical multi-meterAbility to read and understand
technical documents, drawings and blueprints.Strong electrical and
mechanical troubleshooting skills required.Each member of the
maintenance team must be a motivated self starter with the ability
to work under minimum supervision.Strong verbal and written
communication skills required.Computer skills required.EDUCATION
and/or EXPERIENCE:High school education or Trade school
certification or a combination of education and a minimum of 7
years related experience or trainingEssential Responsibilities
