We are looking for a Renewable Geomatics and Energy Analyst to join our team, within the Development Services team. In this role, you will be focused on geomatics and spatial design planning on multiple projects including wind and solar projects.

What You Will Do:

• Work collaboratively on a team of technical experts to support business development for screening and design of wind and solar generation projects.
  
• Performs mapping and geomatics
  
• Use mapping software including ArcGIS PRO, global mapper, google earth, and CAD to effectively screen new projects and contribute to conceptual and preliminary design.
  
• Design and maintain an organizational system/database and protocols for management of spatial data
  
• Calculate buildable areas and advise the broader team on facility design strategies such as generating equipment layouts, crossings, and mitigation of physical constraints such as environmental features and topology.
  
• Create maps for communicating project details for governance (presentations), external stakeholders (community outreach), permitting and regulatory requirements, and project design packages.
  
• The secondary function is to mentor under and contribute to the team of experts performing preliminary design/optimization and energy yield analysis for wind and solar projects
  
  
  Who You Are:
  
  • Related university degree in Geomatics, Engineering, or a similar technical field and minimum of four or more years of experience OR equivalent combination of formal education, certification and experience.
    
  • Proficient with of ArcGIS PRO, Global Mapper and Microsoft Office applications.
    
  • Strong in organizational, analytical, communication, and facilitation skills.

    • The position requires a person who is a motivated self-starter who can manage multiple priorities and communicate across team both in and outside the organization
