Job Description:

The

Product Sales Specialist is an

active and collaborative partner to the Field Sales organization. This

individual holds an expert-level understanding of one or more strategic products/solutions

and can speak fluently and easily on that product's value proposition, its

technical aspects, and provide the expertise required in complex customer

selling situations. Their partnership

with the business is critical to supporting ACI's customer-facing approach and

articulating a clear and compelling set of value drivers that lead to a close-won

selling opportunity.

This

individual actively works across sales teams on a global scale on a variety of

customer accounts. They are likely brought into the conversation by the account

owner for highly technical discussions in support of closing the sale. Success in this role requires strong

interpersonal and teamwork skills, not only in customer-facing situations, but

also with members of their product line and sales teams.

    JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:




    • Act as a product specialist, providing the

      sales organization a resource to actively engage and partner with for complex

      technical discussions and customer situations.
    • Partner and collaborate with the sales

      organization, including New Business Developers, Account Executives, and sales

      leadership to support opportunity development, deal closure, and ACI sales

      growth.
    • Work closely with the sales team to drive a

      single and unified approach for the technical aspects of a selling

      opportunity.
    • Participate in customer calls and onsite

      meetings, maintaining a strong executive presence and strongly supporting the

      work of the sales organization toward the attainment of previously set targets

      and goals.
    • Function as the organizational thought leader

      globally on changes in the industry, key trends, and issues facing customers, specific

      to their assigned product line/solution, taking a technical perspective of

      these areas and sharing that proactively with members of the sales leadership

      team.
    • Stay current on ACI products, enhancements, and

      movement in the marketplace, highlighting relevant industry news and trends,

      identifying competitive pressures to ACI, and addressing with customers in a

      form that underscores depth of knowledge.
    • Socialize key product-related changes with the

      sales organization, partnering with the product function to identify and

      understand product enhancements, etc.
    • Balance natural constraints and challenges

      inherent to the role, prioritizing opportunities, and discussing challenges or

      issues with sales leadership.
    • Maintain a regular view of sales opportunities

      across the organization.
    • Understand, adhere to, and enforce all

      Corporate Policies to include but not limited to ACI Code of Ethics and Global

      Information Security.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.


      • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
      • Requires 8-12 years of successful solution

        consulting, solution engineering and/or sales / product experience in

        industries targeted by ACI

        (financial institutions, intermediaries, payment processors, etc.).
      • Experience

        driving highly technical conversations with customer stakeholders; appropriate

        comfortability leading complex discussions and structuring these conversations

        to be productive for the client and ACI is critical for role success.
      • Experience

        building customer relationships and establishing trust at the top of customer

        organizations and interacting with those leaders productively to build

        opportunities.
      • Strong

        track record of partnership, collaboration and teamwork with sales and

        technical sales teams.
      • Deep

        understanding of the payments, banking, and financial intermediary landscape.
      • Ability

        to quickly embrace new challenges and leverage expertise across the

        organization to drive real-time decision making.

        KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND

        ABILITIES:

        • Must

          have a combined minimum experience of 8-12 years in the payments, e-commerce,

          banking, financial or mobile payments industries.
        • Must

          have successful track record of technical sales support and collaboration with

          the sales organization, including active partnership and teamwork.
        • Seen

          as a thought leader for the assigned product line/solution and can effectively

          guide sales teams toward establishing strong selling opportunities that are

          grounded in sound technical detail.
        • Strong

          ability to drive a technical sales message, relationship management, and apply

          in-depth expertise across a variety of diverse selling contexts and situations.
        • Excellent

          presentation, verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak

          naturally, articulate a value proposition, and message key value drivers is

          critical.
        • Strong

          executive presence and ability to build relationships with high-level

          organization executives.
        • Articulating

          and professionally presenting solutions to customers and respond to pushback

          with well-defined and appropriate answers.
        • Understanding

          and knowledge of products / solutions currently marketed by ACI.
        • Experience

          working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM tools.
