We achieve this through our commitment to our Guiding Principles which helps us create the ultimate competitive advantage in the marketplace. *May be located in Dallas, Chicago, Minneapolis, or Cleveland* Primary Functions: The role of Director, Inside Sales is to oversee our Inside Sales teams across multiple regions throughout the US. Working under the direction of the Vice President, Sales, the main responsibility of the Director, Inside Sales is to drive development of new domestic business through our over the road division. The Director, Inside Sales will be responsible for managing and leading a team of Inside Sales Representatives in multiple locations in the execution of the overall strategic plan for new OTR business development. Basic Qualifications: The Director, Inside Sales will bring 10+ years of logistics industry experience in a business to business sales capacity; they must have experience in logistics sales, account management, and sales team leadership. An ability to build authentic relationships, communicate with and influence others at all levels of the organization is essential for success in this position. Position Responsibilities:

  • Drive company inside sales strategy across our domestic over the road (OTR) division
  • Manage a team of Inside Sales Representatives across different territories throughout the US
  • Responsible for the hiring, performance, training and development of direct reports
  • Set team goals, including sales activity goals, revenue budget goals, etc. Responsible for achieving optimal sales and exceeding revenue goals
  • Help remove sales barriers in obtaining new or retaining business, manage sales pipeline of opportunities for each Sales Manager (truckload, LTL and intermodal)
  • Help develop new leads strategy
  • Work with larger customers to grow wallet share
  • Drive positive customer experience, may visit with larger customers, as needed
  • Drives focus of inside sales teams to achieve optimal results, create fun, competitive and results oriented culture across team
  • Drive career development for sales job family, attract and retain best inside sales talent, ensure positive inside sales employee experience, drive learning and development inside sales needs (with support of L&D)
  • Work closely with operational and customer service team and solutions group as needed Education/Certifications:
    • Broad knowledge of sales and account management principles and methods
    • 10+ years of logistics industry experience, including at least 5 years of management experience.
    • Four year college degree in business, marketing or related field
